1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Civix (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. These terms apply to all users, including municipalities, operators, and citizens.

2. Service Description

Civix is a SaaS platform that enables municipalities to receive, manage, and resolve citizen reports regarding public issues. The Service includes web and mobile applications for citizens to submit reports and administrative dashboards for municipal operators to manage these reports.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

For municipalities subscribing to our Service:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent reports
• Send spam or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to breach the security of the platform
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Civix S.r.l. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant Civix a license to use this content for operating the Service.

7. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with GDPR and Italian data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Municipalities are responsible for ensuring proper legal basis for processing citizen data through our platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Civix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. For paying subscribers, refunds will be handled according to our Refund Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rome, Italy.
